OK, I am starting to have trouble with Facebook. I don't know if we have a troll who is reporting my stuff over and over again, or if Facebook got one report and is now doing their best. It started out with someone reporting a post from January 10, and it was removed for basically being racist. The post was about the H&M hoodie debacle. The article was about the mother's reaction to the post and how maybe people shouldn't take it upon themselves to speak on behalf of others without their consent. I'm not sure what about that article was racist. What I assume happened is someone read the headline, decided not to be bothered reading the article, and just reported it. Facebook has a long track record of just taking the reporter's word for it, so the post disappeared. A few hours later - same day - I get this: Now, I went in, clicked on the box to type in, got another message, and clicked for more details. A page popped up: So I was blocked for "spam?" This time it was an image. I had used it on the website Facebook page to reply to a conversation. The image? The Florida school shooter... an image I saved from Facebook. It was him in his little commie shirt with his raised fist. I'm not allowed to reply to my own readers? That's "spam?" Or does it upset someone that the image is off narrative? Facebook is full of proud commies with their fists raised, and that doesn't seem to be a problem. Suddenly, in this case, it is. And since they deem it "spam," they don't have to defend the move. I'm still not sure how replying to a comment on my own page is spam. I sent a message to Facebook asking for clarification after checking off the box that said I believe this was done in error. I explained the image they deemed spam was a reply to one of my readers, and was a current events photograph that depicted nothing violent or unknown. OK, well, bottom line here is this. If I have a troll trying to inflict damage, there isn't much I can do about it since Facebook acts on only one side of a story (and right now, I don't know if this is a troll doing all of it or if I just landed the page on Facebook's radar after one post got reported by a troll). And since I got a warning and Facebook jail all in under 12 hours, it leaves me wondering how much longer we're going to have a Facebook page. For my Facebook followers, I have plenty of social media, and you can decide which you want to deal with.
But that's where we are. I am going to try to save the Facebook page, but like I said, if there is a snowflake reporting everything, Facebook doesn't really care what my defense is or that whatever they blocked doesn't violate their own TOS when I search for it. The above are the alternatives should something go down.
