Last Word on the Oscars

I'd like to move on from the Oscars because it was a celebrity back patting event, one of many, and we have far too many of them. But I want to point out one last thing that no one seems to be mentioning.

For weeks leading up to the Oscars, it was being reported that political talks and political actions were not being allowed at the Oscars. And yes, they sited the ratings of other award shows. People don't watch these things to be preached at and they just want to escape the politics. Same reason they watch sports.

Once the Oscars got here, it was completely political from start to finish, just like all the rest, and it was built right in, just like all the rest. These people blatantly lied to you to get you to watch. I think most of us knew better and saw it coming. But a lot of others took them at their word. These people think us peasants are stupid and gullible. Not only should we listen to what they say and agree with them, you should do so happily. And if they have to lie... oh well!
